At the foot of the mountain, the lake:
此卦卦像为在山脚下有湖水。
Thus the superior man controls his anger and restrains his instincts.
因此，君子应该学会控制自己的情绪。
The lake at the foot of the mountain evaporates.
山脚下的湖水蒸发。
In this way it decreases to the benefit of the mountain, which is enriched by its moisture.
如果这种情况继续下去的话，山会受到损失，因为水可以使它收益。
The mountain stands as the symbol of stubborn strength that can harden into anger.
山代表坚韧不跋的力量，因此，很容易在利益受损的情况下恼羞成怒。
Therefore decrease is necessary; anger must be decreased by keeping still, the instincts must be curbed by restriction.
因此，一定要减少愤怒的情绪。
By this decrease of the lower powers of the psyche, the higher aspects of the soul are enriched.
