Master Wu of Shenlong Taiji Quan had his first book entitled . This entitlement has entrenched meaning and it is worth our effort to study it in detail. First of all, he explained what is Taiji Quan. The ordinary folks would think of TaijiQuan as a form of bodily exercise. It goes slow and is apparently more suited to the older folks.
Master Wu of Shenlong Taiji Quan
There are some others who think that Taiji Quan is a form of self-defence. But, as to how such slow motion can be put to use in a combat or for self-defence, it is not widely known. Master Wu smartly amalgamates the issue through both a micro view and a micro view. He thinks that Taiji Quan is a form of thoughts, a philosophy. This philosophy can be put into practice and achieve three major outcomes: health building, self-defence and self cultivation.
On the wider perspective, it will bring in positive benefits for the individual, the family, the society as well as the nation. Furthermore, it will drive towards a global peace and harmony. Dao, in other words, it is philosophy. Ji, the minuscule movement, meaning in the very beginning of things, there is an abundance of the Dao philosophy being manifested. Taiji Quan puts the philosophy of Confucianism, Buddhism and Daoism in one melting pot. It is a form of philosophy that can be put into practice.
